The Teaching for Understanding with Technology course at Michigan State University provided a wealth of strategies for lesson design. I found it especially rewarding to use educational technology in unconventional ways, such as creating a drag-and-drop assignment for emergent learners using Google Slides. This project was particularly meaningful because it showcased my ability to integrate diverse resources, including images of familiar neighborhood parks for real-world connections, recorded read-aloud books from YouTube, and my own original bumper video introduction, bringing these elements together into a single, cohesive assignment.
